2023-2024 SNOW REMOVAL AND SALTING/SANDING CONTRACTS
The Ellsworth School Department is accepting bids through October 5, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. for the following locations:
Ellsworth Elementary/Middle School
Ellsworth High School
Hancock County Technical Center
Ellsworth School Department Bus Garage
The contract period is for one (1) season and bids can be on individual locations, all locations or any combination of locations. However, bids for a multiple year contract will be considered.

Fall Sports photo day is Tuesday, September 12. Athletes should bring their full school issued sports uniform to school for pictures after school. The photo order form is attached to this post. If there are any questions regarding the photos, please email the photographer directly. If your student is not at school for the photo day, they will not be in the team photo nor will there be a photo make up date for the fall sports.

If your middle school (grades 5-8) student is interested in participating in any sport this year (fall, winter or spring), please fill out the permission form linked here. Completing this form is necessary and allows your student permission to participant in an athletic activity at EEMS this year. Further forms may be needed based on the sport or activity. Attention potential EEMS Cross country team members:
The EEMS Cross-Country team is holding two optional practices before school starts. The dates are Monday, August 28rh and Tuesday, August 29th, from 4-5PM at the Ellsworth High School football field. A permission form is not needed to attend these optional practices. Cross-country is open to all students in grades 5-8.
There is no practice on the first day of school, August 30th. The first regular season practice is set for Thursday, August 31 from after school until 4PM with pick up at EEMS. A permission form is required to take part in regular season practices. Online permission forms will be emailed to parents from Infinite Campus before the first practice.
ESD Job Fair Thursday August 17 from 5pm - 7pm at EEMS.

class work to obtain a Class B license.

Attention middle school soccer players:
The EEMS soccer coaches are offering kick arounds for players to get back into the mindset for soccer. Kick arounds for the boys soccer team will be on Mondays and Wednesday from 3-5pm starting August 14th. Kick arounds for the girls soccer team will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7:30pm starting August 15th. All players should come prepared to participate in soccer activities (athletic attire with soccer cleats preferred) and a water bottle. Participation in the kick arounds will have no effect on making a school soccer team. If there are any questions, please email Mr. Downs at mdowns@ellsworthschools.org.
The Ellsworth School Department receives federal funds under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (Titles IA, IIA, IV, and V). These funds help us provide important services for our students and for staff development. We are in the final stages of the annual application for these funds, which includes needs assessment and prioritization.
