March is all about 'springing forward,' and these seven students are officially leading the pack. We are incredibly proud to announce our HCTC Students of the Month for March 2026!
It takes more than just luck to stand out in a building full of talent. It takes late nights, sharp focus, and a commitment to excellence. Join us in celebrating these seven leaders who are making the most of every minute this month.
James Koopman - Cybersecurity
James has been a great asset to his Cybersecurity 2 class. In the days and weeks leading up to SkillsUSA, he took a leadership role in helping to prepare students and devices for the Cybersecurity contest. With a balanced mix of attentive focus and infectious good humor, James shares his considerable knowledge while soaking up a new universe of information and ideas.

Lucas Kidder - Criminal Justice
Lucas is a great student to have in the Criminal Justice Program. He is a very intelligent, observant and poised person. He does very well academically and in practical scenarios. He has become a leader in the classroom, along with being one of the leaders on our SkillsUSA team. He also volunteers for almost every community service opportunity, helping wherever he can. I have no doubt that he will succeed in all of his future endeavors.

Cassidee Cirard - Health Occupations
Cassidee is a 2nd-year Health Occupations student who is deserving of this recognition. She is an EHS senior who is dedicated to the program and the medical field. Cassidee has great attendance and is always willing to help out. She has given around 20 hours to HCTC, helping at many different events. She has completed her PSS, CNA and will complete her CRMA in May. She will be attending Husson University in the fall in the Occupational Therapy program. She will be a great asset to the medical field! Thank you for all your time and assistance, Cassidee.

Max Ash - Automotive Technology
Max is a first year Automotive Technology student from Sumner Memorial High School. Max claimed very little automotive knowledge when he arrived here in the Fall, but that has changed dramatically this year! Max recently diagnosed a variety of problems on his Kia, and we are happy to say that the car is fixed! Great job, Max!

Charlotte Varney - Multimedia Design
Charlotte is a consistent and reliable performer in her Multimedia Design One class. She is able to meet deadlines and applies an exceptional amount of creativity and professionalism to her project work. She is always willing to help others and her kind and friendly personality is a great asset in the classroom.

Faith Newman - Culinary Arts
Faith is a go-getter, always willing to do whatever is needed. She seeks new learning and looks for opportunities to be helpful. She rallies the class to be their best and leads from the front! Faith shows outstanding potential in the Culinary Field. Keep up the great work!

Callie Shahan - Welding Technologies
Callie is a hard working student. She is currently working on her 1" FCAW certification. She has been with me for 2 years and is a leader here in the shop. She is a senior at DISHS. Callie is a very repectful student and a pleasure to teach!
