HCTC February SOTM

February might be the shortest month on the calendar, but these HCTC students have made a massive impact. We’re extremely proud to announce our HCTC Students of the Month for February 2026!

It is one thing to start the year strong; it’s another to keep that fire burning through the winter chill. This month, we are incredibly proud to recognize seven exceptional students who have shown outstanding dedication, skill, and leadership—consistently raising the bar in their programs and our community.

Jenna Wright - HCTC SOTM February

Jenna Wright - Automotive Technology

Jenna is a Junior from Reach School and a second year Automotive Technology student. Jenna recently stepped WAY out of her comfort zone during our three day tire training provided by VIP Tire and Auto, and did a fantastic job! Congratulations, Jenna!

Ben McKenney - HCTC SOTM February

Ben McKenney - Multimedia Design

Ben has been a reliable and consistent member of the Multimedia Design program since day one. Ben is a team player who is always willing to lend his skills and expertise to others. He is very talented in videography and competed in SkillsUSA for Digital Cinema Production. Along with his media talent, his positive attitude and friendliness will take him very far in life.

Rowan Preston-Schreck - HCTC SOTM February

Rowan Preston-Schreck - Carpentry

Rowan came to the carpentry program last year as a quiet non assuming young man who was eager to learn. (He was always asking what can I do now?) Rowan works to complete each task completely and correctly, seeking guidance as soon as he needs it. It is a pleasure to have a young carpenter so excited to learn. Thank you, Rowan!

Kyomi Bierce - HCTC SOTM February

Kyomi Bierce - Biomedical Sciences

Kyomi Bierce is a phenomenal student, achieving a high GPA in a difficult program, but I am nominating her because of the support and kindness she shows to classmates. I often see her helping students understand difficult concepts, supporting peers when they are having a bad day, encouraging forward progress, and just being a positive force in the classroom.

Kyrie Ireland - HCTC SOTM February

Kyrie Ireland - Culinary Arts

Kyrie is a rockstar! She has shown up each day ready to tackle whatever is needed. She works well with everyone and has really come out of her shell this year. Great job, Kyrie!!

Charlotte Adams - HCTC SOTM February

Charlotte Adams - Business Leadership & Hospitality

Charlotte has really come into her own. She may be quiet, but she has a lot to say. Her competitive nature is fun to watch come alive in the classroom. Charlotte has been praised by her internship mentors at Flex It Cafe. It has been fun to watch her absorb the lessons and put them into action!

Kaylee Clement - HCTC SOTM February

Kaylee Clement - Education & Human Services

Kaylee brings an incredible amount of energy—exactly the kind of enthusiasm that’s essential in this field. She has adjusted seamlessly to the changes within the program and demonstrates a strong, well-rounded understanding of the preschool & education environments. Kaylee is bright, kind, compassionate, and a joy to be around. She has shared on multiple occasions that attending HCTC is the highlight of her day.

We are so proud of every one of our Students of the Month. Keep up the great work. We’ll be back next month to celebrate March’s brightest stars!
