Pre-K Classroom

It’s not too late to sign up for our awesome Pre-K Program!

This year, Ellsworth School Department’s Public Pre-Kindergarten program is expanding and offering two classrooms at two separate locations! The Moore Community Center will house two rooms, as will Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School.

Public Pre-Kindergarten is free for families and open to children all over Hancock County who turn 4 years old on or before October 15!

Pre-K Enrollment gfx

Regardless of the location, our program will run Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and use the “Pre-K for ME” curriculum: a research-based, play-centered program that supports early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. Transportation is available to and from EEMS and the Moore Center.

Wrap-around care is also available this year out of the Moore Center! Through the YMCA, care is available before school, after school, on snow days and on teacher workshop days, and, optionally, during school vacation time!

To register for Pre-K, please fill out our Online Registration form. Families interested in wrap-around care should contact Shara Sala, the Director at the Moore Center, at ssala@defymca.com. Acceptance into the pre-kindergarten program will be based on prioritization of Ellsworth residents, but all Hancock County families are encouraged to apply.
